On Monday, September 18, the L’Equipe channel will broadcast an unpublished episode of L’Equipe Enquête: “World Cup, the Three Glorious Years of the XV of France”, directed by Sébastien Tarrago and Jules Bian-Rosa. Through archives and strong testimonies, this documentary tells in a new light three French rugby teams, three generations having marked the history of the Rugby World Cup: 1987, 1999 and 2011.
Three teams of talent, sometimes even genius who have overcome the most improbable crises, three generations with a different relationship to the world, three epics but the same destiny: that of a final victory which escapes them. A documentary in three chapters, told by those who experienced these World Cups, punctuated with anecdotes and unpublished information.

A look back at the first edition of the modern formula of the World Cup, in which the XV of France lost in the final once morest the All Blacks, with unpublished testimonies from Denis Charvet, Serge Blanco, Pascal Ondart and Jean-Pierre Garuet .
Chapter 2: 1999, the best enemies
Olivier Magne, Richard Dourthe, Christophe Lamaison or Philippe Bernat-Salles talk regarding their 1999 World Cup and their historic four-try victory over New Zealand in the semi-finals.
Chapter 3: 2011, the dirty kids of Lievremont
Sébastien Tarrago was able to collect the testimonies of Marc Lievremont, Didier Retière, Dimitri Yachvili, Morgan Parra or Imanol8 Harinordoquy, who return to this exceptional but difficult competition for the French team which experienced a split between its players and its staff.
