Thiruvananthapuram: Paravur Sangeet Sabha instituted the third Paravur G. Devarajan Award to G. Venugopal. The award includes a sculpture commissioned by Shilpi Kanai Kunhiraman, Rs 25,000 and a certificate.
Pratham G for overall contribution to Malayalam cinema. Devarajan Puraskar Ram Padma Shri, legendary actor of Malayalam cinema. Also decided to give it to Madhu. The award includes a sculpture commissioned by Kanai Kunhiraman and a citation.
The award winners were selected by a jury consisting of music director Ousepachan as chairman, song researcher and writer Ravi Menon and lyricist Rajeev Alungal as members. The award will be presented at Paravur during the 5th anniversary celebration of Paravur Sangeet Sabha on November 1
