The successful performance “The Women in Parliament”, an adaptation of Aristophanes’ work “Ecclesiazouses”, is staged in Western Achaia on Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 July 2024 at 9 pm. The project is staged by the theater department of the Lower Alissos Dance Group with free entry as it is part of the summer cultural program of the Municipality of Western Achaia, which is also a co-organizer.
“With our support, we give the opportunity to all citizens to watch theater performances as it is a living art, which manages to transmit shocking emotions, knowledge, messages, and activates our spiritual gifts. I feel particularly happy that our fellow citizens from Alissos took their precious time to prepare an excellent show for the audience of Western Achaia and, not only that, they deserve our warm congratulations”, said the Mayor of Western Achaia Grigoris Alexopoulos.
It is a theatrical performance directed by Vathyalos, with plenty of laughter, dancing and singing and is characterized by strong traditional, musical and dance motifs. Praxagora and her company will once again express their bitterness for the impasses in which the country finds itself, but also their hope that with their own dynamic intervention they can take over power and ensure a better future for the citizens .
