The terrible news fell by the customers of this telephone operator

In an economic context marked by inflation, many French people are struggling to make ends meet. And unfortunately, it is not ready to work out. Indeed, mobile operators are also beginning to inflate bills. This time, it’s the turn of a pillar of discount. Don’t worry, Objeko’s editorial staff will tell you everything about it. Are you ready ?

Another bad news for the French

The bad news is linked for the French. Indeed, unfortunately, inflation continues its course. In February 2023, consumer price inflation accelerated further to 6.2% year on year. Driven in particular by the rise in food prices, it is back to a level similar to the end-of-year 2022 rates. And now mobile operators are also starting to increase prices. This is particularly the case of Cdiscount.

Telephone operator: in an e-mail sent to all its users, Cdiscount announced the bad news. Indeed, from March, there will be an increase in the price of its telephone plan. This decision comes within the framework of an order from the parent company. As a reminder, the brand’s mobile network is owned by Bouygues Telecom. It therefore aligns with the decision of the telephony giant. Which is perfectly logical. But unfortunate at the same time, for the customers.

An increase of 1 euro per month

In this famous email, Cdiscount calls into question generalized inflation, which it also claims to suffer the brunt of. On the other hand, the giant claims to have done everything to contain the increase, while maintaining the same quality: “We are aware that this price change is part of a general context of price increases that affect each of you and have done our best to contain this increase while continuing to provide you with quality service in your mobile uses.« .

But what does that mean concretely? Well it’s very simple. Indeed, Cdiscount subscribers will therefore be forced to pay an additional euro on their monthly mobile plan, without compensation. Obviously, if you do not agree with this increase, you have the right to terminate the contract: »In accordance with article 224-33 of the Consumer Code, you have the possibility of terminating your contract free of charge. , indicating this reason to us, up to a period of four months”.

But is there really a better brand? It is not certain. Indeed, other networks reputed to be very inexpensive, like NRJ Mobile, have also already inflated the bill. At SFR, prices will increase from 0.69 euro to 0.99 euro per month, depending on the packages. For its part, the operator with the mythical orange logo has decided to increase its prices by one or two euros each month. There you go, you know everything about it.
