On the morning of the first day of the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Rabbit 2023, thousands of Hanoians and tourists flocked to the Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam.
Contrary to the deserted, sparse scene of many roads and streets, from early morning, the area around Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam was crowded. Many times, the streets leading to the Temple of Literature are congested due to the large number of vehicles. Residents and tourists have to wait in two long lines to buy tickets.
Although the ticketing area opened 4 doors to “cool down” the entrance, people still had to wait in line for a long time. Many international tourists also come here to visit, travel and experience the atmosphere of Vietnamese traditional Tet.
The areas in the Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam are crowded, bustling and full of spring colors.
For a long time, many Hanoi families have a tradition of going to the Temple of Literature to travel to spring, light incense sticks, offer sacrifices in front of the altar to worship Confucius and the sages in Dai Bai Duong, and worship the famous Chu Van An in the Thai house. Learning to look forward to a good new year, smooth learning.
After two years of hiatus due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Xuan Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam Letter Society returned with many impressive and unique cultural activities, attracting visitors. On the morning of the first day of Tet, many people came to visit and ask for letters.
Mr. Jean – Sébastien Grill (42 years old, French nationality) in a shirt and turban, is flexibly following a brush. He is the only “Mr. Tay” who writes calligraphy in this year’s Letter Society, thus receiving the attention of many people. In a few hours of the morning, Brother Jean wrote eight calligraphy letters.
Participating in writing are 50 calligraphers who have passed the application process, ensuring that the criteria and requirements of the Spring Letter Association are met. The event will last from January 15 to January 29.
