A table on telematic education, a sector that contributes to guaranteeing a full right to study. “It is an important issue that of telematic universities which are a reality and there are eleven of them. They offer both remote and partially remote training courses. Therefore they exist and intercept a need that exists”, underlines the Minister of Universities and Scientific Research, Anna Maria Bernini, during question time in the Senate.
“! There are students away from home, workers, with disabling illnesses and those who are not self-sufficient, there is a need for distance learning – continues the government representative – Covid has made us take a step forward both in teaching and in the offer training. Online universities are not a piece of the university world that moves in a wild west, in the absence of rules”.
“Visual and online universities must have the same regulatory modality taking into account the specific context. For this reason we have created a working table that includes the online universities, the president of the Conference of Rectors, the Italian University Council and the Anvur in which we are giving common rules to all universities in such a way as to guarantee the quality of the training offer to everyone, for everyone, with every method of teaching delivery”, explains Bernini who clarifies: “The ministry is not the Antitrust, but it must guarantee the quality of the training offer. The outcomes of this table are aimed at this.”
