at four years Franco Mella started playing soccer at the Club Argentinos del Norte School in Roca and since then his path has not stopped.
the boy from 15 years he has played as a forward or winger, today he will travel to Buenos Aires to try out for the Defense and Justice team who was champion of the Recopa Sudamericana.
“He is passionate regarding soccer and obviously his dream is to be a professional player, he is a fan of Boca and a fan of Messi,” his mother Paola Iraira said proudly.
The adventure began a few days ago when a Defense acquaintance saw him play and the possibility of trying out for Florencio Varela’s team arose.
“It caught us by surprise since we only have a few days to finish raising the money, so we started this campaign with the whole family,” Paola said.
The news spread and many joined in collaborating, however, there are still some expenses to cover. Today “He travels but we still have to pay for the stay, we still don’t know how long it will be,” said his mother.
When Franco was very young, he enjoyed this passion for soccer and, in addition to playing in the Argentinos del Norte school, he played for other teams such as Estrella Roja and Deportivo Roca. He eventually returned to Argentinos del Norte, where his talent caught the attention of Halcón de Varela.
