TCL Electronics introduced the NXTWEAR San upgraded version of its smart glasses, featuring two 1,080-pixel Micro OLED panels capable of giving the sensation of looking at a 140-inch screen from a distance of four meters.
The company specializing in consumer electronics highlighted its latest innovations during its presentation at the IFA 2022, which is being held these days in Berlin (Germany), where it has also reviewed the latest products in its catalog.
The main novelty of his presentation was the NXTWEAR S smart glasses, which allow viewing content when paired with a compatible device, such as a smartphone, tablet or game console.
To this end, they incorporate two Micro OLED displays with a resolution of 1080prefresh rate of 60Hz and frontal corrective lenses. These promise to give the sensation of looking at a 140-inch screen from four meters away.
At the software level, they integrate four viewing modes: animation, video games, movies and reading. Additionally, they provide for brighter, more vibrant colors and lower power consumption. On the sound side, they have a redesigned speaker system for clearer and more precise sound.
For its part, the brand has modified the controls to make them easier to configure and use. Instead of doing it from a smartphone, the volume is adjusted by a wheel located on the left branch of the glasses.
On the right temple, on the other hand, the user has controls to adjust the brightness and switch between 2D/3D mode. In terms of accessibility, a new connector has been added to the back of the right temple, making it easier to connect to other smart devices and computers. In terms of ports, the glasses also feature a USB Type-C port with built-in Display Port.
In terms of comfort and ergonomics, the brand highlighted the redesign of the bridge of the glasses, for greater comfort in contact with the skin. In addition, the readjustment of the high and low frequency audio function makes prolonged use of the device more comfortable, especially during long cinema sessions.
