[Animal News]Lucy, a half-year-old Tang dog girl who was missing for 22 days, miraculously returned home today! Lucy got lost on the 21st of last month because of a careless decoration master who opened the door and ignored the dog owner, Uncle Chen, to stop her. The 69-year-old dog owner, Uncle Chen, immediately went out looking for the dog day and night, and many enthusiastic citizens were moved to join the search team. It is unknown whether Uncle Chen’s actions and love for the hunting dog persisted despite the rain, allowing the clever Lucy to find her way home. This morning she wandered outside her home in Castle Peak Village, Tuen Mun, to reunite with Uncle Chen’s family. Mr. Chen described that he never thought of giving up, even if he was exhausted, he still wanted to find his dog. He was also grateful to the many enthusiastic volunteers and citizens who volunteered to help find the dog.

After his retirement, Uncle Chen, who has always loved dogs, adopted a pair of Tang dog siblings who were rescued by volunteers in Kam Tin. The brother is Cookie and the daughter is Lucy. They live with their 6-year-old Dolly. However, on October 21, the decoration master opened the door to move stones. Just when Uncle Chen said not to open the door, three dogs had already rushed out of the door. Although Uncle Chen successfully called Dolly and Cookie back into the house, Lucy was lost.

Uncle Chen immediately went out to search. After learning regarding it, a group of volunteers and enthusiastic citizens spontaneously formed a dog-hunting group of more than 100 people to help, including printing and posting posters, helping to collect information, placing cameras and dispatching dog-hunting dogs. In the past three weeks, Chen Bo and his volunteers have been searching everywhere regardless of rain or shine. They have been to Longgutan, Qingshan Temple, Pineapple Mountain, etc. Although they always come up empty-handed, they never give up. A core team of five people also go out to search every day. . Although Uncle Chen is old, he still goes to the mountains and seas. He received news that someone had seen someone who looked like Lucy at the Colo Mountain in Tuen Mun, so he went to the mountain to look for it last night and saw a black one with a white band around its neck. Tang Gou was standing in the distance. There was a reflection on the white band that looked like a dog tag. He thought there was a chance it was Lucy, but unfortunately he mightn’t find it once more.

He originally planned to set off to Chao La Mountain to search once more this morning. Unexpectedly, Lucy miraculously waited outside the door early in the morning, wagging her tail when she saw him. The man and the dog were finally reunited safely. Lucy has been missing for 3 weeks. She is very thin, very hungry and thirsty. Uncle Chen will take her to the veterinary clinic for examination.

Uncle Chen was very happy to be reunited with his beloved dog. He praised Lucy for being smart and knowing how to go home. He said that he never thought of giving up the search, “Even if I am exhausted, I will find her.” He is grateful for so much. A kind-hearted person who he had never met came to help, and he offered money and effort to help find Lucy. It was a true friend in need. He said that this time was also an important lesson. He would be more careful and didn’t want his dog to get lost once more.
