The Taco Fair in Zinacantepec was a complete success!

The fifth edition of the Taco Fair in Zinacantepec’s Jardín Constitución culminated last Sunday with the main presentation of the Banda El Recodo de Don Cruz Lizárraga. The more than 20,000 attendees sang and danced for more than two hours, enjoying the greatest hits performed by the band. The atmosphere of joy and enthusiasm spread through the place and the nearby streets.

The fair was a great success, with more than 50 exhibitors representing the traditional food of the taco. During the two days of the event, more than 30,000 visitors were able to enjoy a wide variety of food and artistic and musical events. In addition, there was an exhibition of crafts and classic cars that enriched the fair.

The municipal president of Zinacantepec, Manuel Vilchis Viveros, declared that this event was crucial for the economic reactivation of the municipality and the boost of the economy of Zinacantepec families, especially following more than three years of pause in activities due to the coronavirus pandemic. Covid-19.

To guarantee the safety of the more than 30,000 visitors, the local authority deployed 120 members of the Zinacantepec Municipal Police, the Almoloya Police, the National Guard and the State Police. Despite some fights that were immediately contained, the final balance was white.

During the two days of the fair, the taco corridor had more than 70 stands and 50 exhibitors that offered more than 50 varieties of tacos, from the traditional to the most exotic, including wild boar. In addition, the fair benefited Zinacantepequense artisans, vendors of tortillas, vegetables, soft drinks, parking lots, gas stations, and hotels that housed visitors.
