This is devastation – says the capital’s conservator of monuments and plans to report the possibility of committing a crime. The case concerns Robert Bąkiewicz. At night, the former head of the Independence March Association painted the Fighting Poland sign on the building of the Ministry of Climate and Environment.

The building housing the ministry’s headquarters, located at Wawelska 52/54 in Warsaw, is a monument.
We are dealing here with a devastating effect. Spraying on monuments, especially those finished with sandstone, as is the case here, is reprehensible and inappropriate – said Michał Krasucki, a conservator from the capital, to RMF FM. Together with the mayor of the capital, he wants to report the possibility of committing a crime, although he adds that the case should be handled ex officio by the prosecutor’s office.
“We will take appropriate actions,” add representatives of the Ministry of Climate and Environment.
Robert Bąkiewicz’s action was supposed to be a response to the removal of patriotic symbols from the walls of the ministry building. The resort explains that it is only for the renovation period.
