Taylor Swift will perform at 151 shows around the world until the end of 2024. There are strenuous choreographies in every show. Now she reveals her training routine.

Taylor Swift (34) has been on a world tour with her “Eras Tour” since March of this year, in which she performs in a total of 151 different countries around the world. The tour still lasts almost a year and since shows often involve elaborate choreography, Swift has to keep fit. She told Time that she sang her entire three-hour concert program while running on a treadmill. “Fast for fast songs and jog or walk fast for slow songs,” she explained.

This has inspired several Swifties to copy their idol’s workout routine. There are already thousands of videos circulating of fans doing their best – and still only lasting half as long as Taylor Swift. The fans’ tenor: Singing for three hours in a row while also exerting yourself physically is much more difficult than you think.

Fans try hardcore training

A Tiktok user tried to imitate the workout without singing. Still, she only made it to the end of the “Fearless” set, which isn’t even a quarter of the show. “How does she do this for three hours oh my god,” she wrote under a video of herself on the treadmill.

Another Swiftie shared a video of herself that lasted four minutes. In the clip you can see her energetically running on a treadmill while singing along to the lyrics from Swift’s setlist. During her training, the woman had to pause several times and asked the camera a few times: “Oh my God, Taylor, how do you do that?” The comments, as well as the numerous other people who tried the workout, paid tribute to Swift’s athletic achievements.

In an interview with “Time,” Swift also mentioned that she completed three months of dance training before the start of the tour in order to be able to memorize the steps subconsciously: “I wanted to be so well prepared that I might joke around with the fans without losing the thread lose.” The 12-time Grammy winner was aware of the pressure that would come with the show: “I knew this tour was going to be far harder than anything I’d ever done before,” which is why Swift also worked with her during the preparations Stopped drinking, “Doing this show with a hangover… I don’t want to know this world,” she says.
