Called by a neighbor worried regarding seeing smoke coming out of an apartment, the firefighters went to the heights of Lausanne on Friday morning. It was a false alarm.
A large fire brigade was dispatched this Friday to avenue de Valmont, in Lausanne. “They arrived around 10 a.m. and stayed for regarding twenty minutes,” explains a reader and resident of the neighborhood.
“Nothing serious”, reassures Sébastien Jost, of the Lausanne municipal police: “It was regarding a tenant who was burning incense in his kitchen. As smoke billowed from his window, a neighbor thought it was a fire.” Dispatched to the scene, the emergency services found that there was no accident.
The latter nevertheless ensured that the kitchen was ventilated and that all danger was averted before returning to the barracks.
