The Surface Laptop Go 2 will be available from tomorrow

A few days ago, Microsoft formalized a new product. This is neither a new smartphone nor a new console. I’m going to tell you regarding a new laptop. Lightweight and equipped with a touch screen, the Microsoft Laptop Go 2 is coming tomorrow.

If you know this family of products, you know what type of product it is. Indeed, more than a year and a half following the release of the first Laptop Go of the name, the formula has hardly changed. Obviously, the components have changed, but the publisher persists in offering a light product with a touch screen in 3:2 format. It is necessary all the same to underline an inflation at the level of the addition.

Perfect for on-the-go use

Inside its clean-lined, neutral-colored shell, Microsoft has integrated an 11th generation Intel Core i5 chip and an Intel Iris X graphics chip. Remember that the Laptop Go included a 10th generation processor.

He teams up with at least 4 GB of RAM (LPDDR4x) and 128GB of storage capacity. For those who find it a bit limiting, there are other configurations. Well, that also means an increase in the price. I will address this point a little later. There, too, there is better compared to the Laptop Go since the basic version of the latter only offered 64GB eMMC storage.

For the display, we remain on a slab presenting a diagonal of 12.4″. The PixelSense screen is tactile, has a ratio of 3:2 and offers a definition of 1536 x 1024px.

He embarks two studio microphones long range and an HD camera (f/2.0 aperture). You can therefore count on this new machine for your video exchanges. To unlock the device securely, some models are equipped with a fingerprint reader.

On the connection side, its user will be able to use a USB-C port, a USB-A port and a Surface Connect port. Moreover, even if it carries the WiFi 6 and the Bluetooth 5.1its owner will not be obliged to use a wireless headset since the machine is also equipped with a headset jack.

Autonomy of more than 13 hours

The Laptop Go 2 is clearly not targeting gamers, but if you’re looking for a computer for doing office work, browsing the web and enjoying streaming services, this might be the computer for you. Especially since you can take it anywhere with you given its weight slightly above 1Kg. There is another point to take into account: its autonomy. Microsoft indicates that under normal use, it can stay away from any outlet for more than 13 hours.

If you’re wondering, of course this new Surface works under Windows 11. It also contains a trial version of Microsoft Office 365 (1 month trial) as well as one month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Regarding the dimensions, they are very close to those of the previous generation: 278.2mm x 206.2mm x 15.7mm for a weight of 1127g once morest 278.18 x 205.67 x 15.69mm and 1110g for the Laptop Go.

Surface Laptop Go 2, from 669 euros

This new Surface computer is available in 4 colors (Platinum, Sage Green, Glacier Blue and Sand) and especially in several configurations. The basic one, which contains an Intel Core i5 chip with 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD, costs 669 euros.

To get a slightly beefier configuration, you will have to pay 100 or 200 euros more. The 8/128GB version costs 769 euros while the 8/256GB version requires paying 869 euros.

After the store Microsoftthe basic version is only available in Platinum color while the other versions are only available in the other colors.

By purchasing the Laptop Go 2, the purchaser can benefit from a special offer on Office 365 (15 months at the price of 12).

Thanks to the launch of this new model, the previous edition costs a little less. Of the month, this is the case on Amazon where the Surface Laptop Go is 499 euros in 4/64GB (instead of 629 euros). All other versions are also discounted.
