“The Supreme Media” praises the “United” decision to affiliate Al-Ahly and Zamalek channels to the two clubs

The council stated – in a statement on Friday, that all sports critics agreed during the conference, to stay away from personal insult and criticism of people, in any way, as well as not to prejudice the personal honor and reputation of the competitors, and to uphold moral and behavioral values, and respect the feelings of the competing parties from the teams and players. And the public, avoiding sarcasm, and supporting the Egyptian team and the Egyptian clubs participating in continental and international tournaments.

They also stressed the need to adhere to the Sports Media Code, issued by the Supreme Council for Media Regulation by Resolution No. 62 of 2019 and published in the Official Gazette, which provides for maintaining the vitality, excitement and fun of sporting events, which preserve sports its position and its positive effects that are able to attract large sectors of society without slipping. To incite intolerance or incite any religious or sectarian strife, without doing anything that would encourage violence or disturb security and peace among the masses, and without violating any of the rules contained in the laws.

It also provides for the dissemination and consolidation of positive sports values ​​that put competition in the service of the correct development of human relations, and not to offend local sports teams and teams or those belonging to other countries in terms of shape, colour, gender or culture, and not to deviate from the requirements of media treatment. or professional journalist to political, cultural, social, security or other dimensions; Which may cause problems between governments, peoples or groups of society, and not to use sports competitions in what would negatively affect national unity, social peace or stability in society, or to spread violence or frustration.

The media code includes not creating problems and verbal exchanges with other parties, and the press institutions, media outlets and websites to motivate public opinion to condemn violence related to sporting events, especially football.

The Council stressed that its monitoring committees closely monitor the broadcast media, and take the measures stipulated in the law in case of violation of the controls that command the approval of all, and to preserve the spirit of sportsmanship.
