South Korean developer Pearl Abyss today announced the summer events that will run from August 3rd to August 24th in Black Desert to run. The new sandcastle fight, a 30 vs. 30 PvP mode, plays the central role in the refreshing events.
When players join the sand castle fight via the Red Battlefield, they will be automatically assigned to either the Papu or Otter team. Each team has three randomly assigned roles, warrior, mage and healer. In the 30 vs. 30 death match, the opposing players must be defeated to earn points. The number of points a player gets depends on the number of points the defeated opponent had. The team with the higher total points at the end of the 10-minute battle wins and receives in-game items and Battlefield Tokens. These tokens are exchanged for special coins to get valuable in-game items like the Coco & El Pento Summer Outfit Box.
Other summer events include the Millennium Masterpieces auction by Kakuo, a prolific painter, and Parapura, a Papu sculptor. At Termian Beach, players can bid on special works of art. There is also a fishing event, sand castles, a screenshot event and new summer outfits for all classes.
