If many people rushed to Prince Harry’s memoir during his long-awaited release, the book would also be widely abandoned by the pool or in hotel rooms by vacationers, according to a travel company.
“The Substitute” would have been found in particular in the garbage cans of several resorts in Spain, Greece and Turkey, explained the travel agency On The Beach to the British media “The Express”.
According to the company, more than a hundred copies of the book have been found since the beginning of the summer.
“We have never seen anything like it. Lost and found offices at our most popular resorts are overflowing with copies of ‘The Substitute’,” said Zoe Harris, the agency’s director of clientele.
“We found it funny at first, but over the past few months several other hotels have sent the books back to us,” she told the outlet.
The travel company is now said to have libraries full of the royal family member’s memoirs, so much so that it is asking hotels to stop sending them back. “Otherwise we can never get rid of it,” Harris said.
Recall that the book, which makes several revelations regarding the Windsors, smashed the record for the fastest-selling non-fiction book in the first week of its release, according to Guinness World Records.
