The selection has been made: Tibor Kapu will more than likely be the following Hungarian in house.
International Minister Péter Szijjártó introduced that the skilled committee had made its choice: amongst 240 candidates, two candidates from the Hungarian Astronaut Program (Hunor) have been chosen to conduct analysis work on the Worldwide Area Station.
Alternative falls on Bosch engineer
Tibor Kapu is a 31-year-old improvement engineer who studied mechanical engineering on the Budapest Technical College (BME). He has labored within the pharmaceutical business, on batteries for hybrid vehicles and on developments for radiation safety for astronauts. As a paratrooper, he has already made 38 jumps. Gyula Cserényi, a 33-year-old high-voltage electrical engineer who was liable for the operation of the high-voltage community on the Robert Bosch industrial website, was appointed as reserve astronaut. In recent times, impediment races have been his ardour.
Coaching within the USA
Péter Szijjártó stated that the following Hungarian astronaut mission is imminent and the home house business “is among the many superior nationwide industries”. Because of this, the federal government has determined to launch a brand new nationwide astronaut program for analysis functions. The intention is to additional improve the developments and achievements of Hungarian scientific and industrial life. Two extra members of the four-person contingent, who competed till the final second, will help the mission’s work as senior floor help workers. Orsolya Ferencz, Ministerial Commissioner for Area Analysis, added that the coaching of the 2 chosen astronauts will proceed within the USA.
