After the criticism, Hadiqa Kayani, who played the role of the female victim in the drama serial, explained, “Knowing that what I have been a part of is causing pain to a female victim. Can’t stand it.’

He wrote that ‘when I was asked to play the role of comforter in the accident, my first question was ‘Is it related to the motorway incident?’ Is it based on a true story?’ I made it clear that I would not be part of any such project if it was based on someone’s story.

‘The project team gave me a clear ‘no’ answer. “After talking to the team and reading the script, I realized that the ‘crash’ was not related to or based on the motorway story set in 2020.”
