What he does not know is that Pignon is a past master in the art of triggering disasters. He will have to spend an eventful evening in her company, when he has a nasty turn of the kidneys and his wife threatens to leave him…

In addition, did you know that the one who gives the reply to Normand D’amour in the role of Christine Brochant, the wife of the protagonist, is the real spouse of Normand D’Amour, Pascale Montreuil. See the couple, both on stage and in real life, in the photo below.

In an interview shortly before the media premiere of the cult piece at the Salle Albert-Rousseau in Quebec City, Normand Love told us this: I suggested they take my girlfriend, because as far as touring… This one also offers a magnificent performance, in the skin of this woman wounded by the actions of her husband.

Moreover, before the performance, Pascale Montreuil offers, with Gabrielle Fontaine, another actress of the distribution, a cabaret in songs of regarding ten minutes during which the two artists make fun of idiots. Pascale Montreuil laughs in particular at her lover, who has more than 1,000 board games at home and immerses himself in rulebooks every evening as a bedside reading, a moment that does not fail to make the audience laugh.

We were also able to see Pascal Montreuil in the STAT series, a series in which we also find his spouse, as well as in Before the crash.

Normand D’amour confirms the success of the play, which draws crowds wherever it goes: ” I have never, in my 39-year career, soon to be 40, heard people laugh like that in a room. It doesn’t make es*i common sense. It laughs, loud! It applauds. It doesn’t stop. We also feel that people know the lines. There are some who have never seen it, but there are many who have seen it. We have great comments, many French people who came to see the play and who tell us “we completely forget the film”. The fit is perfect. Note that it is André Robitaille who signs the staging.

Normand D’Amour tells us, smiling, that the scene he prefers to play in the play is the one bringing the character of Juste Leblanc, who is also played by René Simard. This is also our favorite scene.

His name is Just Leblanc. – Really, he doesn’t have a first name? – I just told you Just Leblanc. Your first name is François, is that correct? Well, he’s the same, it’s just.

Note that the tour for The stupid dinner continues until 2024, with stops planned throughout Quebec. This is not to be missed!
