The small Parisian studio behind the French “Tom and Jerry” has completed its fundraising intended to give it a new start. Known for its successes like “Oggy and the Cockroaches” and “Zig and Sharko”, these comic formats called “slapsticks” very popular on the small screen, the animation studio had, like others, surfed a lot on the demand of the platforms . A situation that propelled him to stock market heights. But it suffered from the serious brake that giants like Disney put on orders for children’s content. To react, Xilam completed its capital increase on Thursday evening with the issue of around 982,000 new shares at a unit price of 3.75 euros, allowing it to raise nearly 3.7 million euros. Its founder and CEO Marc du Pontavice, who himself provided his guarantee for the operation, purchased around 70% of the newly created shares, an investment of just over 2.5 million euros.
