With great success and the participation of 372 students, 47 teachers and 15 Primary Education schools, the Youth-Student Festival entitled “Mazi!” in the framework of the program ¨What if it was you?¨.
The festival was organized by the Panhellenic Network for Theater in Education in collaboration with the UNHCR, the Directorate of Primary Education of Achaia – Health Education & Environmental Education, KEDIP – Patras Carnival, the Cultural Heritage Promotion Structure of the Municipality of Patras and the DI.PE.THE. Patras.
From 9.30am to 1pm there were presentations, activities, experiential workshops for children and short theatrical actions from the participating schools. Throughout the festival, the themes of the awareness program for human rights and refugee issues, as well as for the acceptance of diversity in all its forms and for the understanding of the right to equal opportunities for all, were highlighted in the best possible way.
After the presentation of the plays and the rest of the actions that took place in the main Carnival hall (K6) of the Old Slaughterhouse multipurpose hall, the children in the outdoor area held hands and formed a huge chain of humanity, including everyone inside and singing the song of the festival, the their song.
At the festival “Together!” which took place at the end of the school year and which, with the support of a large number of city agencies, contributed to the dissemination of the year-round work in the ¨What if it was you?¨ program, both in the school and in the wider community, participated: 65th Kindergarten Patron, Karya Achaia Kindergarten, Chalandritsa Achaia Kindergarten, 5th Primary School of Patras, 12th Primary School of Patras, 13th Primary School of Patras, 25th Primary School of Patras, 34th Primary School of Patras, 36th Primary School of Patras, 41st Primary School of Patras, 55th Primary School of Patras, 62nd Primary School of Patras, Diakoptos Primary School of Achaia, Special Primary School for the Deaf and Handicapped of Patras and Experimental Primary School of the University of Patras.
