“The Stranger” by Bassam Koussa and Adam Al-Shami
The great Syrian artist, Bassam Koussa, who presents the character “Youssef”, the honest judge, turns into a criminal, and is forced to defraud the law in order to save his son, within the events of the social drama “The Stranger” written, scripted, and dialogued by Lubna Haddad and Lana Al-Jundi and directed by Sophie Boutros, which is shown on The “Watch” platform, the work includes a group of actors alongside Bassam Koussa, including Farah Bseiso, Saeed Sarhan, Muhammad Aqil, Sandy Nahhas, Adam Al-Shami, with the participation of Jamal Qabish, Nazim Issa, Salma Shalaby, Rabih Ahmar, Joy Hallaq, Muhammad Hussein, Maya Yazigi, Yara Zakhour, and with the guests, Laila Sammour, Ahmed Melli, Kamil Youssef, Mona Karim, Shadi Shams, Ali Sammour, Yamen Shuqair, Yazan Rishani. The events begin when “Rami,” the son of Judge “Youssef,” accuses Bassam Koussa of killing “Ihab,” the son of a wealthy man known for their robbery, shady trade, and frequent lawlessness. “Rami” confesses his act to his father, who decides to hand his son over to the police, but soon changes his decision after realizing that the father of the murdered young man will inevitably transcend the law, avenge his son, and seek to liquidate “Rami.” Then, the judge begins to search for a solution to save his son, will he be able to save him? Will this family have inner peace and calm after the murder, or will their life turn into hell?
