The storm that hit Dubai was unprecedented! – What a Greek resident says, “it was unprecedented” VIDEO

The incredible images of the historic storm that hit Dubai on Tuesday (16.4.24) went round the world.

Dubai was turned into a sea as boulevards were flooded and huge problems were caused at the luxury international airport, which is a hub for travelers between Asia and Europe.

According to the UAE’s National Meteorological Center, the country experienced its heaviest rainfall in 75 years from Monday night when the storm began until Tuesday night, while Dubai received more rain than it has received in a year in region.

“What happened yesterday was unprecedented, I’ve never experienced it before, I’ve been here for six years,” Christina Tsenkolari, who works as a flight attendant in Dubai, told Live News.

“Bad weather was predicted but not at this point. The rain was very heavy. Today it is as if nothing happened and we only see a little water”, he underlined.

The storms caused scenes of panic, with water pooling in subway stations and wide boulevards and residents fleeing their homes.

Dubai International Airport on Wednesday morning asked travelers to travel there “only if absolutely necessary”, while flights were canceled or diverted to other airports.
