“The stoppages influenced the performance of the race” – Jornal OPaís

The president of São Salvador do Zaire, Francisco Gombo, considered that his club’s performance, in the first round of Girabola 2023/2024, should have been better, if it weren’t for the two stoppages recorded during the competition, due to the “audio case” and the participation of the Palancas Negras in the African Nations Championship (CAN), in Côte d’Ivoire.

However, he gave a positive note to Finda Mozer’s pupils who had a positive performance in the first half of the competition, in addition to the fact that the start was a dream, as they defeated Recreativo União de Malanje, four balls to one, in the first round.

“The stoppages influenced the performance of the national race, but we achieved our objectives”, said the official.

Francisco Gombo mentioned that the first round exceeded the club’s expectations and was optimistic regarding the second round of the championship, scheduled for the 27th of this month.
