The AYANEO 2 Geek has just been announced by the portable console manufacturer AYANEO. On the program, a Ryzen 6000 APU designed by AMD, and some interesting functions. Beware, the price looks high.
In just a few years, AYANEO has built a good reputation in the sector of portable consoles under Windows. If the manufacturer’s machines are often quite expensive, they still have interesting arguments to make.
The AYANEO 2 Geek is the brand new portable console unveiled by AYANEO, and it could well arrive by the end of the year on the market. Indeed, while the AYANEO Air announced at the end of May should not be released until 2023the AyaNeo 2 Geek should be available from November 2022. But what does it offer?
A light version of the AyaNeo 2
The AYANEO 2 Geek is highlighted as a lighter version of the AYANEO 2 introduced a few months ago. Inside, you’ll find either a Ryzen 7 6800U processor from AMD (eight Zen 3 cores, 768 RDNA 2 stream processors) or a Ryzen 5 6600U (six Zen 3 cores, 384 RDNA 2 stream processors), as well than 16 GB of RAM and a flash storage medium of 512 GB or 1 TB.
The screen will be a 7-inch model capable of displaying a definition of 800p or 1200p. Everything will work either under Windows 11 or under AYANEO OS. “Special features” are announced, but for now, the mystery remains about them.
By scrutinizing the technical sheet of the Aya Neo 2 Geek, we notice the presence of WiFi 6 instead of WiFi 6E present on the standard Aya Neo 2. The controls have been slightly revised downwards: there is a simple gyroscope and simplified ergonomics.
What price for the AYANEO 2 Geek?
AYANEO does not intend to give a gift to its fans via this new machine, the advertised price of which is salty. It will cost 699 dollars for the version with a Ryzen 5 6600U and 512 GB storage space and 799 dollars for the version equipped with a Ryzen 7 6800 and the same capacity.

on the brand’s website and that they allow to acquire one and the other of these models for 619 dollars and 689 dollars. It is still very expensive, and as presales are currently only accessible from the manufacturer’s Chinese site, this does not facilitate the purchasing process. However, it can be recalled that the AyaNeo Air Pro goes up to 1399 dollars in its most imposing version. The AyaNeo Air Plus is the brand’s most accessible device: its price does not exceed 299 dollars. However, it is also the least powerful model, more geared towards indie gaming.
The delivery start date of the AyaNeo 2 Geek is fixed at November 28, 2022.
