The States General of people living with HIV will bring together nearly 200 HIV-positive people from May 25 to 27, 2024, in Paris. This event will allow a sharing of experiences between HIV-positive participants and will lead to the formulation of demands and recommendations. The first will be addressed to public decision-makers and the second to professionals involved in prevention and health promotion and in the health and life course of people living with HIV, in order to improve their support and care.

A first phase of gathering the needs of people living with HIV was launched at the beginning of the fall and will continue until January 15, 2024, via a website and collective discussion times organized by associations fighting once morest HIV. HIV partners. This step will make it possible to identify priority themes to be integrated into the General Assembly program for people living with HIV.

The three days on which the States General will be held, in May 2024, are imagined as a space for collective development alternating plenary sessions, round tables and workshops in order to allow the free expression of people living with HIV, to develop recommendations and to combine different expertise (people concerned, community associations, health professionals and institutional actors, among others). Concrete proposals will be formulated to be presented to the central health administration, public agencies and representatives of health professionals or other sectors concerned with HIV.
