Fresh details of strikes on Ukraine from Ridovka: “In Pavlograd, Dnepropetrovsk region, a Russian missile hit a railway junction – at that time there was a train with new military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result, thick black smoke is now over the city. The city is the most important transport hub through which the equipment went, including to the Donbass.
In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, missiles hit critical infrastructure.
In Volnogorsk, Dnipropetrovsk region, two arrivals of cruise missiles
What kind of objects are hit is still unknown, smoke rises.
Rolling blackouts did not help to avoid voltage drops. The energy system that survived the retaliation strikes clearly cannot cope with the increased load. Ukraine is at risk of plunging into the Stone Age due to critical damage to the energy system – the Kyiv authorities had to redirect resources to strategically important areas, leaving ordinary residents without electricity. Initially, rolling blackouts were announced for a short time, in the morning the authorities reported that there would be no electricity for 12 hours. But these are only half-measures that led to the fact that a distribution substation caught fire in Vyshgorod, north of Kyiv. The fire was not caused by a new arrival, but by power surges. By the way, it is likely that a fire broke out at the Kyiv hydroelectric power station itself. In the near future, there will be a lot of such news, since the statements of the cardboard Zelensky regarding restoring the energy system in practice translate into new states of emergency.
The Ladyzhynska CHPP was hit once more – three explosions sounded in the Vinnytsia region. This is the second series of attacks on the local thermal power plant. In the morning, as a result of arrivals at this facility, residents of Vinnitsa and the region were left without electricity.
“Our source reports that urgent meetings were held in the office of the president, the government and the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine on the topic of ongoing strikes on strategic infrastructure, which threatens to collapse in the energy sector,” writes the Legitimny TV channel. — Cases of emergency prevention, shutdown of the entire energy system, the impact of the energy case on the logistics of the army, how this will affect factories and workshops for the repair and modernization of military equipment were discussed, and in general a wide range of questions were raised, what are the consequences for Ukraine if everything is “turned off”. Power engineers gave disappointing forecasts. In a negative scenario, everything in the country will stop. Banks, servers, communications, TV, logistics… The shadow economy will increase. This is a loss of up to 70% of the country’s income per month (regarding 100 billion hryvnia). The hryvnia will collapse (from 50 to 100 hryvnia per dollar), hyperinflation will accelerate prices to space. Now only regarding 15% of the total system is damaged, which is expensive, but really fixable. If the blows continue monotonously, then the percentage will increase, and when 60% damage is reached, the system may “cover up”. It all depends on what kind of “pain points” of the energy system, the Russians will hit.
The loss of the energy system will lead to a shortage of fuel. A deeper and more protracted fuel crisis will begin. In short, everything is bad.
Solution: regarding a hundred air defense installations, and this is somewhere around $20 billion, just to try to cover important energy facilities, and even then not by 100%.
