The State is committed to training qualified talent for new professions for Renault

In the midst of the electric transition, the automotive sector is changing so quickly that the nature of industrial jobs is changing. The Renault Morocco Group is looking for new skills for more qualified professions and in line with new trends. For its part, the State promises to provide trained technicians and managers who meet its needs. This is why two agreements have been signed to strengthen training in the automotive industry. The ceremony took place this Thursday in Rabat, in the presence of the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Younes Sekkouri, the Minister of Industry and Trade, Riyadh Mezzour, the Director General of the Office of Vocational Training and Labor Promotion (OFPPT), Ms. Loubna Tricha, the Director General Renault Group Morocco, Mohamed Bachiri, and the Director General of the company SNOP-Groupe FSD Maroc, Tajeddine Bennis.

This is a public-private partnership which “aims to support the evolution and development of the automotive industry by preparing qualified human resources in line with the skills needs of manufacturers”.

The first agreement signed with Renault Group Morocco consists of developing a diversified offer of professional training dedicated to the automotive sector, as well as meeting the Human Resources needs of the Group and its ecosystem. Under this agreement, Renault Group Morocco undertakes to support the OFFPT in the development of training courses, particularly in industry 4.0 and renewable energies, and also to define the technical and educational equipment for the benefit of the cities of trades and skills (CMC) of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima and Casablanca-Settat. Renault Group Morocco will also contribute to the creation of a start-up incubator relating to the automotive sector at the CMC of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima.

“Today, this partnership agreement supports the OFPPT in setting up appropriate training programs to respond to technological developments in the automotive sector”, explained Mohamed BACHIRI, Managing Director Renault Group Morocco and Coordinator of the Moroccan Industrial Pole. .

The second agreement signed with SNOP relates to the development of a training offer in “industrial maintenance”. Within the framework of this agreement, the company SNOP will proceed to the development of alternating training in industrial maintenance and will provide technical and educational equipment for the benefit of certain OFPPT training centers whose trainers will also be able to benefit from training sessions with a certification.

“The agreements signed today will allow the development of new skills in a job market in the automotive sector in permanent evolution and the integration of young people into the national productive fabric”, declared the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Ryad Mezzour, adding that “efforts are continuing to meet the new challenges of vocational training in line with the ecosystem and thus promote the rise in performance of Moroccan industry”.

For her part, Mrs. Loubna Tricha, the Director General of the OFPPT, declared “We are happy to be able to support today through this Renault Group Morocco and SNOP signature in the development of training adapted to technical and technological developments. of the automotive sector. These conventions illustrate a common conviction that human capital is central to the development of industrial sectors”.

Steering and monitoring committees will be set up to ensure the implementation of these two agreements.
