The President assured that they do not have machinery to solve the problem.
From Tumbes, Dina Boluarte acknowledged that the State is between a rock and a hard place, as she announced that they do not have machines to solve the problem.
“Through Indeci, we warned, several weeks ago, that this natural phenomenon was going to affect the north of the country, since the governor and the mayors had no way to deal with it immediately and the State – the truth must be told – neither, because We don’t have machinery, we don’t have motor pumps, we don’t have a way to deal with these natural rains because the State was really abandoned,” he confessed.
However, he maintained that a pack of machinery is being prepared for the municipalities to try to remedy the problem.
“From this point in the north of the country, I want to announce that, as a government policy, we are already working to reach, for each provincial municipality, a pack of machinery at the national level so that they can face not only this situation (…) due to natural phenomena , but also to be able to strengthen the roads and bridges that are so needed at the national level,” he said.
