The State Electoral Institute will moderate the Public Hearing of the Juárez Bus in Ciudad Juárez

The representative of the State Government in the northern zone, Óscar Ibáñez Hernández, announced that the State Electoral Institute will be the entity in charge of moderating the exercise of the Public Hearing on the Trunk route 2 of the Juárez Bus, which will be carried out this Thursday, October 13 at 6:00 p.m. on the interior esplanade of Pueblito Mexicano.

The state official indicated that this exercise of public information to the border society is in charge of the State Government, through the General Secretariat of Government and the Municipality of Juárez, through the Secretary of the City Council and will be chaired by the general secretary of Government, César Jáuregui Moreno and the secretary of the Juárez City Council, Héctor Ortiz Orpinel.

He reiterated that it was during the month of August that a mobilization of citizen groups was generated, specifically by Claudia Luz Arreola Pérez, Laura Calderón Pérez and Guadalupe Chacón, who, on behalf of some community groups, promoted the holding of a public hearing exercise , through the mechanism provided for in Article 43 of the Citizen Participation Law.

The organizations Plan Estratégico, Peatones Heroicos, Fundación Juárez Integra and Red de Vecinos made the formal petition, which was backed by a total of 405 signatures, double the number required by law to initiate a hearing process, and which were Delivered on August 17.

The representatives of the groups made the request and channeled it to the General Secretariat of the Government and the Secretariat of the Juárez City Council, and although these are two separate legal processes, they decided to hold a single hearing, with the intention of acting accordingly. , mentioned Ibáñez Hernández.

He added that the two government agencies agreed that this process be carried out in a single hearing, because the main issue is the same, the Juárez Bus. He specified that it was accepted: “because we are in complete coordination with that issue with the municipal authority, and because the questions were similar, both for the State and for the Municipality”.

The promoters of the public hearing also agreed at all times and stressed “in fact, they were the ones who proposed the State Electoral Institute as the moderator of the event, an organization that in the first instance had not agreed to participate, but when they observed that there was consensus, they approved that proposal.

In addition, it was decided by consensus that the event would be held on the esplanade of Pueblito Mexicano, to avoid risks in the event that it might rain and they were informed that there will be public transportation available free of charge, for people who attend the hearing. so that they can return to their homes, especially those who live in the southeast or northwest of the city, although he reiterated that the transfer will be exclusive for the return to their homes, once the hearing is over.

He explained that among the issues that will be addressed are the routes and schedules, as well as the start of the first and second trunk routes, points of sale and cost of cards for users, rates for students, people with disabilities and older people, as well as on the quality, operation of the infrastructure and date of delivery of the works, among others. There will also be a space for reading and attention to concerns and doubts.

The state official assured that all questions will be answered, however, he said, if the time runs out, those who have not received an answer on the spot will be asked for their personal data to answer them as soon as possible.

Officials from state agencies will be present at the hearing, such as the General Secretariat of the Government, the Undersecretary of Transportation and the Secretariat of Urban Development and Ecology; in the case of the Municipality, it will be represented by the Secretary of the City Council and the General Coordination of Road Safety, among other areas involved.
