The State Duma ratifies the accession of the new regions to Russia

The Constitutional Court of Russia has ratified documents submitted by President Vladimir Putin, regarding the accession of the republics of Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions to the country.

According to Russia Today, the four decisions were published on the website of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation.

In turn, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said, “The State Duma will consider draft constitutional laws and ratification agreements on new lands tomorrow.”

It is noteworthy that on September 30, Moscow signed agreements with the republics of Lugansk and Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, for their accession to the Russian Federation.
