Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population launches a national vaccination campaign once morest Polio From Sunday to Wednesday.
The campaign aims to vaccinate children from one day to 5 years of age, free of charge, for Egyptians and non-Egyptians alike, to keep Egypt free of disease.
The following are the details of the national polio vaccination campaign:
1- The national campaign will start from December 11 to 14, 2022
2- The campaign aims to vaccinate children from one day to 5 years old for free
3- It aims to vaccinate children, both Egyptians and non-Egyptians, to keep Egypt free of disease.
4- The campaign will be implemented in all governorates of the Republic
5- The campaign aims to vaccinate regarding 16 million children.
6- The last case of polio was recorded in Egypt in 2004, and the World Health Organization declared Egypt free of the disease in 2006.
7- Vaccination will take place through fixed teams in health offices, health units, medical centers, major squares, train stations, subways, buses, gathering places, and near mosques, churches, clubs, markets, travel car parks and public parks.
8- Vaccination will take place from apartment to apartment to reach all children targeted for vaccination in all governorates of the Republic, from eight in the morning until five in the evening.
9- The campaign is attended by regarding 90,000 people representing vaccination teams.
10- The campaign’s work is monitored daily from the Central Chamber of Preventive Affairs in the Ministry
