The start of repairing the runways of Damascus airport after the Israeli aggression against it

The Syrian authorities began repair work at Damascus International Airport following the damage caused by the Israeli aggression, which led to the suspension of flights, the Syrian Ministry of Transport said Friday night.

The official Syrian news agency, “SANA”, stated on Friday that the aggression resulted in the injury of a civilian and the infliction of some material losses, without referring to the airport.

On Saturday, the Syrian Ministry of Transport confirmed in a statement that the airstrips were out of service following they were damaged in more than one location, and significantly, as a result of the Israeli raid.
