Last night (Wed) a skit was aired in Israel, starring two of the most powerful online stars on Tik Tok today, Berry Videos (Beri Yehezkel) and Mrs. Shawarma (Agam Neva). In the skit, Berry (Yeron Berald) and Mrs. Shawarma (Oral Tzbari) join the Home Front Command’s explanatory team and prepare for an emergency with cans and a generator. The skit pays homage to the cringe ad genre on TikTok, which has become popular in recent months and mainly advertises small street food businesses.
As every politician knows, if you got imitated in a great country – it means you did something good, and the transition from Tiktok to the TV screen officially symbolizes the transformation of Berry and Agam into stars. Last night they watched the imitation together with family and friends, and of course they also documented it on Tiktok. By the way, none other than Livna Gugman (known as “Livna Zoharim”), who previously starred in the Big Brother show, was also present in the living room.
In the video, the two are photographed hugging and excited. “My chick, you’re going to be a star,” Berry said to the lake, “What do you think, did you make it to Hollywood? Land,” she answered him.
Berry was also moved by the imitation and yesterday he uploaded a post to his Instagram account with a picture of Zabri and Berald: “Today is an imitation of me and Mrs. Shawarma in a wonderful country, who like you knows how long I’ve been waiting for this, who like you knows what I went through on the way to get to the point where they will already appreciate me and see what I know to do,” Berry wrote, “and this is just the beginning, I’m crazy excited.”
This is not the first time that network stars come to a wonderful country. About two weeks ago it was Shorter Bro, the Tiktok star who shortens long Story Time videos that came to the show. So it was an imitation of former Cabinet member and Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot who made “Takzer Bro” to his partner, Benny Gantz. Next to Agam and Berry, we can definitely say that television is starting to recognize the power and virality that the stars of the network have.
