The Stars in the Place Mega-concert in Marrakech on December 29

The 4th edition of the big Stars in the Place show is organized under the High Patronage of King Mohammed VI. It will be in the mythical place Jemaâ El Fna, Thursday 29 December.

The famous Jemaâ El Fna square, classified as intangible cultural heritage of humanity by Unesco, is home to the Mega Concert Stars in the Place on December 29, 2022, following two years of eclipse.

On the program, a group of international artists. With Dadju, Nej, Naps, Rym, Black M, Linh, Eva, Grini, and Camélia Jordana, as well as Stars in the Place co-founder, global icon, Gims. In a press release, the organizers believe that “this event honors Morocco, as a land of openness, peace, tolerance, dialogue, and fraternity”.

A life-size and free concert during this festive period to contribute to the democratization of entertainment and the promotion of culture. The guest artists are world famous, and are authors of successful hits, not to mention their millions of followers on social networks. The big concert will in fact be a platform for the dissemination of Moroccan culture.

200 thousand spectators expected

Indeed, novelty of this 4th edition, development of a premium animation village deployed on a red carpet which will be a reproduction of the Jemaâ El Fna square. Objective, to honor Moroccan culture in all its richness and diversity, with musical folklore and gastronomy.

“The Mega-Concert of international standing cultivates the ambition to develop and consolidate the offer, through a series of initiatives with high added value”, explains Mrs. Houda El Khatib, executive director of the organizing committee, specifying that the objective being to offer the best possible experience to an audience eager for novelties. And to add, “the 2022 edition of Stars in the Place is that of maturity and the consolidation of achievements, the Mega-show remains the DNA of this large-scale international event”.

For the 2019 edition, which was a success, nearly 140,000 people attended. The organizing committee estimates that the 2022 concert, which invites world music to the Ocher city, will be able to attract up to 200,000 spectators.
