Actress Ilham Shaheen fell into a fit of tears, during her honor ceremony at the Cairo Forum for Arab Cinema and Drama headed by director Dr. Ashraf Abul-Naga, in cooperation with the Film Writers and Critics Association, in a major celebration titled How to Make History, Elham’s Mix.
Elham in her speech following showing a documentary film regarding her long artistic career, that she tired a lot, and exposed her family to fatigue and difficulties that no one can bear.
She said, “My family was tired with me and I was threatened, but I did not care regarding myself, but I was worried regarding my family and I did not make a difference with me. I die and my life ends. I am lucky with them and my friends. This is the greatest wealth that I have obtained, and I do not know how to live except in the artistic community. I spent my life in art and lived with them more than my family and my life came back.” There are many personalities, and I was enjoying the most fun for me.”
It is noteworthy that Ilham Shaheen had revealed during her honor that she was preparing to shoot two new films, bringing the number of her films to 103, as her last film was titled Curfew, which was No. 101 in her artistic career, which won dozens of awards.
