Standard provided logistical support, as well as financial support via the club’s real estate, to help evacuate Ukrainian refugees to Liège.
Standard coach operator Stéphane Hodeige has helped with an aid and humanitarian transport operation for Ukrainian refugees, the Liège club announced on Wednesday. With the financial support of the club’s real estate company, and the logistical support made possible by the use of the official Standard coach, 49 Ukrainian refugees were brought from the Polish border to the city of Liège, where they taken in charge by the local authorities in order to find them accommodation.
“About 4 tons of various equipment, including medical, were also transported there during the outward journey”, specifies the Standard, which also salutes the “fantastic teams of volunteers who carried this project with strength and determination”.
