It has been decided that the fourth installment of the stage series “Blue Lock”, “4th STAGE”, will be performed in Tokyo and Osaka from May 2025.
The soccer manga “Blue Lock,” written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura, has been serialized in “Weekly Shonen Magazine” (Kodansha) since 2018. As of August 2024, the total number of copies of the comics published worldwide has exceeded 40 million, and it won the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in the Boys’ category. A TV anime series will begin airing in October 2022, and the movie “Blue Lock: Episode Nagi” will be released in April 2024. The second season of the series, “Blue Lock VS. U-20 JAPAN,” is scheduled to air in October 2024.
The stage play “Blue Lock” based on the novel was first performed in May 2023. It has since been followed by the second and third installments. The fourth installment, “Blue Lock” 4th STAGE, will be written and directed by Ise Naohiro, following “3rd STAGE”. It will be performed at THEATRE MILANO-Za in Tokyo from Thursday, May 15th to Sunday, May 25th, 2025, and at the Higashiosaka Cultural Creation Center Dream House Large Hall in Osaka from Friday, May 30th to Sunday, June 1st, 2025.
