This Thursday, March 31, the Tournai singer Elia Rose performed at the little Fabriek. But not everything went as planned, since at the end of the concert, a curtain suddenly caught fire.
After more than an hour of performance, the fire broke out on the stage. Elia recounted the incident in a video she posted on Facebook. “We had time to do our whole concert and on the last track, we started to see smoke. We have not identified what started the fire, but it was a curtain that caught fire, ”explains the singer.
Elia Rose adds that “everyone remained very calm”. “We cleared the instruments and a first person came with a fire extinguisher before being joined by the Fabriek team, also with fire extinguishers. They were able to extinguish the fire quickly. Suddenly, my concert ended abruptly, but I was acclaimed like a princess when I arrived in the bar area, where everyone had taken refuge, ”she says once more.
The room was full at the time of the incident, but no panic was observed, indicate our colleagues from the Future. Fortunately, the damage was minimal. The outbreak of the fire was quickly brought under control.
