Rabbit & Bear Studios, the developers of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, have announced via an update on Kickstarter that Suikoden’s spiritual successor is delayed from 2023 to the second quarter of 2024 (it will be released between April and June of next year). The JRPG is still planned for the same platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One.
“To deliver a game that so many fans have supported, we are announcing the revised release date for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, with the game now planned for Q2 2024,” the statement read. “The decision has been made to ensure the best possible story and to reward the legion of patrons with the best possible gaming experience.” On the crowdfunding platform they have published a video with preliminary gameplay in Japanese that other users have uploaded to YouTube:
The studio is finalizing plans for the distribution of the physical editions. Patrons will receive an email in August where they will have to choose which platform they want their physical edition for and the shipping method, at which time the payment will be made. Those who have financed the project by requesting a digital edition will receive the questionnaire on the chosen platform later.

Likewise, Junko Kawano, character illustrator of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, has revealed the designs of the leading trio of Eiyuden Chronicle Rising in the next JRPG. “Isha is a bit more adventure now and wears light gear, and CJ has grown up a bit, maybe. At least that’s what I tried to do when designing them,” says the artist. “Garoo’s already a mature adult, so I just changed his design a bit.”
The developers say that at the Tokyo Game Show 2023, which takes place from September 14 to 16, they will give new information regarding Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, which will be released on computers and current consoles following financing on Kickstarter in July 2020 with more than three million euros.
