Announced in 2020 samurai action The Spirit of the Samurai got a fresh trailer for the Future Games Show.
In this 2D metroidvania, we have to learn the story of the samurai Takeshi, who must protect his village from the invasion of the undead and Oni demons. And two spirits will help the hero: the little Kodama and the fighting cat Chisai. Each will have its own gameplay features.
The whole game is heavily influenced by Japanese mythology, and the developers promise to show the atmospheric locations of the two worlds and characters. In addition, we will use traditional Japanese weapons: katana, yari spear and bow.
The game is being made for PC, but it doesn’t even have a release date.
