Organized from March 9 to 12, the third edition of SpeeDons offered 79 hours of video game performances for the benefit of the Médecins du Monde association.

The bar of one million euros in donations has been crossed. The third edition of SpeedDons raised 1,252,637 euros for the Médecins du Monde association. The charity event, carried by the streamer MisterMV, took place from March 9 to 12 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris and was broadcast live on the Twitch platform.

70 games completed

For 79 hours, the event offered speedrunning. This video game discipline consists of completing a title as quickly as possible. In total, 70 games were finished. Among the performances offered, the player Eryment was able to establish a new world record on Command and Conquer Remastered.

This year, SpeedDons was also marked by Qlex, a Tetris specialist who was able to reach Grand Master rank for the first time. After 13 years of training, he finally mastered the hardest version of the cult game: Tetris Grand Master. A challenge such that it requires players to complete the game on maximum difficulty, including a blind game.

The charity event ended with a promise to return next year. It remains to be seen what the organizers will reserve as novelty. For this third edition, a full marathon day had been added.
