Gallery Baton is holding 《Faint Afterglow》, a group exhibition featuring nine domestic and foreign artists, until February 18th (Sat).
In this exhibition, we explore the source of the artists’ intimate memories and experiences. For the artist himself, the primary value of any work is that it is related to self-reflection in some form. ‘Creation’ starts from selecting the subject to describe, one step away from the artist’s personal experiences and memories.
The followingglow of certain memories and emotions the artist has may have faded over time, but the imagination that fills the faded gap is a new truth created by the artist and a window through which one can see who he is. The exhibition space consisted of video, sculpture, photography, painting, and installation.
In Blue Baton, a separate exhibition space, close-up images of the sun taken by NASA observation satellites are repeatedly played on a large screen, while Hee-Seung Jeong’s black-and-white photos, Yoon-Hwan Bae’s ice sculptures, and paintings by Susan Song and Jae-Seok Lee are located.
The exhibition is free to view from Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
