The Soria-Doñate agreement expands and shields a single list in the PJ of Río Negro

The Río Negro Justicialista Party is going through its process of election of party authorities and This Tuesday, July 4, the deadline for submitting candidates will expire.

There was no request for color to register a provincial opposition proposal to the list in gestation and framed in the agreement between Senator Martín Doñate and Minister Martín Soria, which initially led to the shared payroll for the Lower House, headed by the former mayor from Roca.

Besides, that understanding was shielded from regional disputeswith the impossibility of participating in local definitions with lists other than those agreed upon by Doñatismo and Sorismo.

Currently, both sectors are negotiating the assembly of “unity” templates for the Council and the party Congress, with mandates until 2028.

There are guidelines in the conformation, with variants according to the interlocutors. The mayors will remain in the Council and, in the end, the majority would continue in the hands of Doñate’s hosts, including the presidency, which would give continuity to Sergio Hernández.

The integration of Sorismo is under debate, since The minister proposes that his sector retain command and the majority of Congress. On Friday, Hernández dismissed -initially- the ownership in favor of the representation of Soria.

The contribution of the endorsements for the presentations of the candidacies to the Lower House was informed on that occasion by the Doñatismo and, in recent days, this diffusion took on its meaning when the Sorista request for an equitable allocation in party positions was rejected. It happens that it is alluded to that of the ranks of Doñate there were 1123 signatures compared to 444 of those of Soria. Obviously, the leader from Roca relativizes this process in the negotiation.

Despite her reservations, the mayor María Emilia Soria agreed and discussed the agreement with Doñate. But, it is not guaranteed if she will be the president of the Congress, since she would still raise certain objections to the intention of her brother Martín de ella.

The design agreed upon by the senator and the minister does not contemplate any party certification, so the planned single list of councilors and congressmen was protected with aA resolution of the PJ Electoral Board that did not authorize partial registrations. It was required that the proposal be provincial, with all the candidates and endorsements.

This requirement excluded intentions of participating in internal groups in different cities, such as Viedma, Bariloche, Jacobacci and Viedma, formalizing their requests for color. Critical reactions and presentations were repeated, which led to the intervention of the Council to ratify the disputed resolution of the Board.

On Friday, Hernández met the councilors and held a session via washapp, with the absences of community leaders Fabian Pilquinao (Sierra Colorada) and David Mendoza (Belisle).

With the unanimity of those present, the Council -as reported- approved “the electoral regulations and each of the decisions adopted” by the Electoral Board.

Hernández, as president of the Council, stressed that he agreed on that decision with Mayor Soria, exposing the intervention of the woman from Roca in the process agreed between the minister and the senator.

This Tuesday, July 4, the deadline for submitting candidacies will expire, although everything indicates that only the “unity” list will be registered for the elections set for July 23.
