Amr Al-Qalawi, son of the late artist Mahmoud Al-Qalawi, revealed secrets and stories regarding his father on his birthday, explaining that his father was a good, familial, and very “homely” person, as he was primarily a family member.
He added during a phone call to the “Ambassador Aziza” program, via the “DMC” channel, that his father was present in their lives, and he only went to work, pointing out that all the “comedians” were nervous.
The son of the late artist Mahmoud Al-Qalawi mentioned that their neighbor was the artist Abdel Moneim Madbouly, adding that his friends in the artistic community were the artist Hassan Mustafa, Ahmed Badir, and Salah Abdullah.
He pointed out that the Joker play “was what he was happy regarding” and the beginning of the audience’s knowledge of him as a star, explaining that the fans were memorizing his eulogies in the Joker play, as the theater was his home for him, and he decided to retire early, because there was a shrinking role in theater in Egypt.
