The artist, Muhammad Abdo, always raises controversy with his statements regarding his fellow artists, even the late ones, the last of which was during his arrival a few days ago, a guest on the “Stages” program with the media Ali Al-Olayani on the SBC satellite channel.
During the meeting, Muhammad Abdo described the tune of the late artist Talal Maddah’s song “My Beloved Country” as stolen, pointing out that Talal Maddah and Abu Bakr Salem did not leave a national legacy.
The Arab artist regained his memories with the song “Maqadar” and rejected it, and stated that he was exposed to a conspiracy on one of the marriage occasions that he revived with Talal Maddah, which prompted the audience to leave before singing following Talal Maddah finished his connection.
Years ago, Abdullah Maddah, the son of the late artist Talal Maddah, threatened to file a lawsuit once morest the artist, Mohammed Abdo, for allegedly insulting his father and his friends in an interview that Abdo had with the Yala program on Rotana channel.
During a previous television interview, Muhammad Abdo accused the artist Talal Maddah of accompanying “bad friends,” and told the media, Ali Al-Olayani: “His metal is good, but his lining is mostly bad, his friends were bad.”
The statement annoyed Talal Maddah’s family and friends, especially since Abdo offended great artistic figures. Abdullah Maddah said: “We were annoyed by Muhammad’s talk, because it was a comparison between Talal Maddah’s friends and Muhammad Abdo’s friends, and we protested once morest the word (most of him), and if Muhammad Abdo did not apologize, we would file a case. on him”.
Abdullah Maddah had written on his Twitter account, “Mohamed Abdo was truthful in what he said,” but he returned two days later, demanding an apology. He added, “We are not the only ones who want to file the case, but a number of close friends of the late Talal have also threatened to sue Muhammad Abdo.”
The late Saudi artist Talal Maddah is considered one of the pillars of Arab singing, as he worked with great Arab composers, including the generational musician Muhammad Abdel Wahab and the musician Baligh Hamdi, and he also sang for the great Arab poets.
