This Monday, the Zulia College of Physicians confirmed that David Parra was released.

In the Venezuelan city of Maracaibo, Zulia state, David Parra, son of a renowned urologist from the region, Dr. Enrique Parra Bernal, founder of the Urology Postgraduate Program at the University of Zulia, was kidnapped last Sunday. The victim, also a doctor in that speciality, was regarding to start his truck, following leaving a pharmacy, when he was approached by several armed strangers.

The abduction was recorded by a security camera. According to the images, the criminals arrived in a gray car and parked next to Parra, and then forced him to get out of his Toyota Tundra. They then put him in the back seat of their truck and fled the scene, located in the Las Mercedes sector, north of the city.

This Monday, the College of Physicians of said state, quoted by the media Informational Focus, confirmed that Parra was released. According to his relatives, the doctor underwent a check-up at a private clinic in Maracaibo at the request of the authorities. The Truth newspaper points out that the criminals abandoned the urologist in the municipality of Mara, in the metropolitan area of ​​Maracaibo, and then fled aboard their truck to Colombia.
