Juan Manuel Balquinta, the solidarity goalkeeper of the Cordoban League, launched the traditional end-of-year match in which great figures from local and national sports come together and which allows, thanks to the attendance and their donations, to make bags Christmas gifts for the “Children Committed to Jesus” picnic area.
The game will be this Friday at 7 p.m., on the Unión San Vicente court, and former referee Héctor Baldassi, former basketball player Mario Milanesio, Darío Gigena, Diego Alarcón, César Manzanelli, Marcelo Bergese, among others, will attend. The underlying match will be the one between Los Andes and Unión San Vicente with the teams that were champions in the League for the last time.
Balquinta is a goalkeeper from Bella Vista and is in charge of the Merendero, which he set up with his wife María Eugenia Vega 10 years ago. “There are almost 200 boys and girls who attend the Carlos Tejedor headquarters at 1027 (San Vicente neighborhood). We want to put together 250 bags with donations since entry to the Los Andes fields will be with non-perishable food,” said Balquinta, who received the collaboration of Diego Alasia, former Racing, and municipal employee Marcelo “Aguja” Funes.
The entry will be a Christmas food (garrapiñada, nougat, sweet bread, etc.) and a toy in good condition. Balquinta and her people live doing solidarity actions for the boys and girls of the picnic area and also for their families.
