The launch of the Galaxy S23 FE is fast approaching, and before its release, we already know what the smartphone looks like thanks to a photo of the device. This was unveiled by a certification body.
Samsung has only just launched its new foldable Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5, but all eyes are already on the company’s next smartphone, the Galaxy S23 FE. Samsung executives confirmed its upcoming arrival at the Unpacked conference, and it actually turns out that its launch might be imminent.
In effect, the US version of the Galaxy S23 FE has already been spotted on the Wireless Power Consortium website, which approves smartphones equipped with wireless charging before their release. Not only SM-S711U model name and number confirmedbut the WPC listing even contains a photo of the Galaxy S23 FE.
The Galaxy S23 FE might be released in just a few weeks
The leaker OnLeaks had already unveiled the design of the device several weeks ago now, but we are finally entitled to a photo of the device. The Wireless Power Consortium photo confirms that unlike the previous Galaxy S21 FE, which used a 2.5D display, the Galaxy S23 FE looks much flatter.
The Galaxy S23 FE has also been spotted on the Geekbench site. The European variant of the phone will be equipped with an Exynos 2200 SoCwhile the American variant of the phone will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. This then confirmed our worst fears, since the Exynos 2200 suffers from some optimization problems.
Both variants of the phone were listed on Geekbench with 8GB of RAM. The devices are also running Android 13. They will likely come with a layer of One UI 5.1, and will support One UI 6.0 when it launches later this year.
For the moment, Samsung has not communicated any official launch date for the Galaxy S23 FE. We will therefore have to wait a little longer before knowing more, but given the appearance of the device at the certification body, its launch is now imminent.
